Hi, I’m Taylor Johnson — cartoonist, dad joke aficionado, and the guy behind Pumpkin Pie.

This comic series started in 2019 during a drawing challenge, and what began as a sketch about orange juice turned into a years-long journey of puns, pie references, and pandemic-era joy. With encouragement from my daughter and a stubborn Halloween-themed cat, I kept going — and now, I’m thrilled to serve up my first-ever collection: Pumpkin Pie: First Helping.

My goal? Simple: make you smile. No politics, no gloom, no drama. Just smart (okay, occasionally dumb) wordplay and visual gags.

I live in Virginia with my amazing wife, have two equally amazing (but mostly grown) kids, and am the proud companion to one black cat named Porter who insists he should be listed as co-illustrator.
